Digital marketers, have you noticed how close we’re getting to #EME2016? In no more than 22 days, the brightest stars of the data-driven marketing world will assemble in Malmö for a no-holds-barred event about what’s next in digital, trends and tips for professionals invested in marketing and much, much more!

Among those marketing stars is one of our brand new EME keynote speakers, Andrew Davis! We caught up with him for a quick chat about what he’s looking forward to at #EME2016, what data-driven smart marketing means for him and which part of Malmö he’s most interested in – enjoy!

Andrew Davis #EME2016 Keynote Speaker

Is this your first trip to Sweden? Are you looking forward to it?

I have never been to Malmo before. I have been to Stockholm and experienced some great Swedish hospitality. I can’t wait to take in Malmö Live and do some people watching in Lilla Torg. It’s going to be such a great experience.

As you know, our #EME2016 theme is data-driven smart marketing. What does that mean for you?

We live in a world where we can track everything. Every click, every open, every like, follow, fan and friend. The trick, in my opinion, is to know what to measure and how to keep it simple, even in a data-driven world. The smartest marketers I’ve encountered boil all their data down into one or two metrics that make them successful.

Is there such a thing as “too much data”? Or “too much information”, for that matter?

Oh, for sure! We live in an information overload world. Filtering the noise from the value is one of the most challenging (and rewarding) pieces of being a modern marketer.

Finally, could you give us a clue about what #EME2016 participants will experience when you hit the stage?

This year’s #EME2016 attendees should be ready to hold onto their seats! We’re going on a journey – a consumer journey. Over the course of my hour-long session, we’re going to see how the smartest marketers in the world focus on building subscribers. We’ll see how they create a moment of inspiration: an instant in time that sends your audience on a journey they never expected. It’s going to be fast, fun, exciting – and most importantly – enlightening.
